Come witness the works of 100 eminent and emerging artist at The Stainless Gallery, Jindal Stainless Ltd, Mathura Road and tell us what you see… Art expresses freedom for the humankind. It is a celebration of the freedom too. It is with this view that the Samanvai Art Gallery showcases ‘A 100 Many-Splendoured Things’, a vast spectrum of one hundred works by eminent as well as young artists of India. Art works arranged herein comprise of almost all contemporary art forms from paintings, sculptures, etchings, prints post-modern forms such as installations and digital art. This creative mélange intends to underline the ‘new art experience’ that has emerged in Indian art in recent times. Hence, we have a vast bouquet of senior artists who have contributed to the Indian art in a significant way as well as members of later generation who have created a niche for themselves in the art world. With a view to highlight the latest creative expressions, the works of the younger generation also find ample space in this exhibition. It is indeed amazing to see each of the artists represented here speaking in their unique language: some of them use abstractions or figurative forms as their mother tongue while others breathe in more modernistic and post-modern expressions with their free-flowing, instantaneous aesthetics, and exploration and improvisation of new and unexpected spaces. As a result, we have in this show a well- arranged orchestration of lines, strokes, shapes, colors, textures, and figurations and it’s delightful to ‘feel’ its music. This show also explicitly expresses the fusion of what is called Indian and Western.
